Empezaré un nuevo proyecto con cartografías. No quiero usar Tagzania o Google Maps porque no confío en sus términos de uso. Prefiero aportar algo a la comunidad de Open Street Map (aquí su sitio oficial). El proyecto funcionará igual a Cartografías Sonoras, pero usa los mapas libres de Open Street Map.
Encontré un plugin para WordPress llamado Leaflet Maps Marker (aquí en el sitio de plugins de WordPress) que hace lo que necesito y además me pareció más fácil de usar que OSM (aquí en el sitio de plugins de WordPress).
Problema: Leaflet Maps Marker genera conflicto con otros plugins que tengas instalados. Yo tenía Google Analytics for WordPress y no mostraba los mapas. Al desactivar el plugin de Google Analytics el problema se solucionó. Para encontrar este error me sirvió la documentación en este foro.
Prueba del plugin:
Aquí una marca, es decir, un punto en el mapa:
[mapsmarker marker=»1″]
Aquí una marca en un lugar diferente del mapa:
[mapsmarker marker=»2″]
Ahora aquí muestro una capa que contiene las dos marcas anteriores. Cabe notar que agregué imagenes que tenía en mi biblioteca multimedia, pero puede agregarse audio, video, texto, enlaces, etc.

¿Qué más puede hacer el plugin? Puedes visitar el demo y verlo de mejor fuente. En resumen: Puedes elegir o subir el ícono que quies agregar para tus marcas, exportar los datos en KML, entre otros formatos, para revisarlos en Google Earth o Google Maps e incluye una aplicación de realidad aumentada que todavía no sé usar, pero parece muy útil.

BTW: The plugin conflict with Google Analytics is already fixed within the current version.
And: I am still looking for translations – if you or anyone else would like to contribute e.g. a Spanish one, please take a look at http://www.mapsmarker.com/languages – it would really be great, if Spanish could also be included within one of the next releases 🙂

translating is quite easy. You just have to download Poedit from http://www.poedit.net/download.php, then open the lmm.pot file from the /languages-directory of the plugin. Then start translating by entering the Spanish translation below the English one at the bottom of the Poedit programm. If you are finished, save the file as lmm-es_ES.po and send me this file and the also created file lmm-es_ES.mo and I will include them into one of the next versions.
